RE4630A Dual 18A / Single 36A Wide-Voltage DC/DC Step-Down Power Module
The RE4630A is an integrated dual 18A or single 36A step-down DC/DC regulator integrating switching controllers, power FETs, inductors and all supporting components inside one package. It works with a broad 4.5V–18V input voltage range and offers two independent outputs with adjustable 0.6V–8V output voltage, where each channel’s voltage can be configured with just one external resistor. Its high-efficiency structure provides up to 18A continuous current per output, and only a small number of input and output capacitors are required for peripheral circuits. This power module supports external frequency synchronization, multiphase parallel operation and output voltage tracking for orderly power rail sequencing, alongside an onboard temperature diode to monitor operating temperature in real time. RE4630A is upgraded from RE4630 with expanded 4.5V~18V input range and wider 0.6V~8V output range, retaining dual 18A / single 36A output capability. Its application circuit layout is highly consistent with RE4630: multi-group 22μF input capacitors stabilize the input voltage, the TEMP pin is reserved for real-time temperature monitoring, and TRACK1/TRACK2 pins realize orderly power supply start-up sequence. The FSET pin uses a 75k resistor for frequency setting, RUN1/RUN2 control two channels independently, and PHASMD configures multi-phase parallel operation. VFB1/VFB2 configure output voltage through external resistors, and each output port is equipped with 100μF+470μF low-ESR composite capacitors to suppress ripple. INTVcc matches a 4.7μF decoupling capacitor, and the shared PGOOD pin realizes unified power-good indication.
